The 2016 Academic Health & Policy Conference on Correctional Health will feature two Plenary Speakers: Dr. Shira Shavit & Dr. Emily Wang 

Dr. Shira Shavit, MD

Shira Shavit, MD, is an Associate Clinical Professor of Family Medicine at the University of California in San Francisco and the Executive Director of the Transitions Clinic Network. For over a decade, Dr. Shavit has been redefining national best practices for the care of incarcerated individuals and individuals transitioning home.

Dr. Emily Wang, MD, MAS 

Dr. Emily Wang, MD, MAS, is an Associate Professor at the Yale School of Medicine and Co-Founder of the Transitions Clinic Network. Dr. Wang’s research focuses on promoting health equity for vulnerable populations, especially individuals with a history of incarceration, through both prison and community based interventions.

About the Conference

The Correctional Health Conference provides a forum for researchers, clinicians, administrators, educators, policy makers, and grant funding leaders to network, share evidence, and learn about emerging research and relevant policy updates in the field of correctional health care.
